Rev. Greg Watling  Bio

 
             
  Rev. Greg Watling has been an ordained Pastor and Teacher in the United Church of Christ since 1995. Greg currently is the Pastor of First Congregational United Church of Christ of New London where he has served for the past four years.

At First Congregational, Greg is both "chief dreamer" and chief of staff. Greg is member of the Board of Directors for the Wolf River Area Healthcare Foundation (WRAHF) and serves on the Waupaca County Advisory Committee on Criminal Justice (WCACCJ). Prior to moving to New London, Greg has served churches for more than twenty years in Michigan, Missouri and in De Pere, Wisconsin. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University’s James Madison College, East Lansing, MI in American Public Affairs: Political Economy, and received his Master of Divinity from St. Paul School of Theology in Kansas City, MO.

Adept at facilitating groups, being a catalyst for change, supporting faith development, encouraging personal growth and reaching one’s potential, Greg is an accomplished musician, as well. Greg has directed and plays hand bells, trumpet, French horn and piano. Greg is married to Cindy Goller and together they have three children, Ryan, Robbie and Sarah. Greg’s passion is to help people claim their own calling in Christian service.
